Mission Statement
To provide excellent academics from a Biblical Worldview to homeschool families wherever they are located.
What is EQUIP Education?
EQUIP is a non profit homeschool enrichment program that has served the homeschool community since 2010. We began to provide assistance to families that wanted to homeschool through high school but did not want to do it alone. We support families that want to homeschool but may not be able to cover all the course work, grading, record keeping, or just want support from a live teacher who helps keep your student on track to curriculum completion. All classes are taught from a Biblical worldview with excellence, integrity, and compassion for each student’s individual needs.
What is the program like?
Students attend classes live from anywhere they are located and can interact with their instructor and classmates. Each class selected is held live once per week and students receive structured and manageable homework assignments to complete throughout the week. Students have access to their instructors throughout the week for additional support as needed. We offer two enrollment options so parents can decide what level of work their students require. (See enrollment options)
Benefits of a Live Remote Classroom.
Instructors and classmates are visible and students have immediate access for assistance both during class and throughout the week
Your student can speak directly with the instructor or other students for added social engagement and genuine interactions.
Students get immediate feedback in the classroom on their answers to help keep them on track.
A structured schedule that is not pre-recorded keeps students accountable and moving through the curriculum to completion.
Supports parents by adding structure, accountability and feedback to their homeschool program.
Relationships are built as students engage in real time with each other and work through the material within a safe environment.
Students can attend classes from the safety of their home, while they travel, or from co-ops that meet to attend EQUIP together.
What Makes EQUIP Unique from other homeschool programs out there?
We are live, not pre-recorded and impersonal! (See above section)
All instructors are federally and locally background checked and complete an intensive certified training course specifically for instructors in academic settings and adhere to our statement of faith.
Instructors are homeschool families or have worked closely with homeschool families throughout their teaching career. This means they understand the unique dynamic of homeschooling.
We consider the parent the capital “T” teacher in their student’s life. We serve as the lower case “t” teacher in order of authority providing instruction, grading, assignments, and additional support to help the students succeed. This means we realize the parent has the ultimate authority and can excuse absences and some homework without penalty.
Flexibility! If you are traveling or your child is ill they can still attend classes if they choose.
Allow for parents to select the course load best for their student through our enrollment options.
Students have access to their graded work for review and report cards to help create transcripts upon graduation.
Provide end of year evaluations and/or testing to meet your homeschool legal requirements if desired.
Parents have access to other parents in their students' grade level if desired through parent only class chats.
We seek to do more than load your student with information. Our goal is to teach them to think critically, logically and objectively.
Instructors provide references and letters of recommendation for job applications, college, and programs for students if warranted.
