Early Enrollment and Scholarship
Will the Scholarship Reimburse If I Enroll in EQUIP’s Home Education Instructional Program Prior to July 1st ?
Now that we have opened enrollment for the 2025-2026 Academic Year this is a question we have been receiving frequently! The short answer is – YES!
Unfortunately, we see a lot of misleading information on facebook groups and chats regarding this question and others pertaining to the scholarship so we are going to be sharing some tips with you through these blog posts. However, we always remind families that the handbook provided by Step Up is the final authority and not what your friend or a social media post may say.
According to the scholarship handbook section (Reimbursement Timing), families can secure their spot in programs for the upcoming school year prior to July 1st and will receive reimbursement. They completely understand that enrollment is open at at this time of year for programs and families are in the midst of planning and purchasing classes and curriculum.
There’s only one guideline: You have to wait until after July 1 st to submit your reimbursement request.
Now that more families are recipients of the scholarship and have access to state funds which they can use to pay for Home Education Instructional Programs, like EQUIP, we have seen a sharp increase in our enrollment numbers. As such, we encourage our current families to enroll now to secure your students spot in the courses you want them to take next year.
We DO cap and close enrollment for certain classes, so we cannot guarantee a spot will be available if you wait until July 1st to register due to misinformation.
Here is our enrollment suggestion to our scholarship families:
1) Register for classes with EQUIP now securing the classes you want for your student (Upon enrollment you will submit your registration and enrollment fees only) and we will delay your payment plan start date to July 1st (if you are choosing to Pay-In-Full for our pay-in-full discount, we will delay your pay in full due date to July 1st)
2.) A little trick from your friends at EQUIP: Submit a copy of the Handbook Page along with your reimbursement submission. (We have provided a copy below for you or you can screenshot from the handbook!)
